Sara & Andrew Cross
Being one of the first to farm Organically in Dorset, now past their 25th year, they have an idea or two about what makes vegetables grow.
Run by Sara and her husband Andrew they grow a wide range of vegetables throughout the year which as well as being available from us are also for sale in their own shop.
The vegetable growing area covers about eight acres, made up of an acre of ‘minimum tillage’ raised beds for early and late season crops; eight polytunnels for sun-loving plants and winter salads; and six acres of ‘field scale’ vegetables where we grow crops like sweetcorn, summer lettuces and leeks.
If you are ever find yourself near the village of Child Okeford in that part of Dorset be sure to pop in and say hello. They have a very nice cafe.
